I have been staying glued to both of my and hubby’s desktops watching one episode of NCIS or CSI after another episode online for the past few weeks.

Hubby thinks that I am nuts. I am so obsessed with watching NCIS, CSI: Miami and Criminal Minds online that I am online for more than 20 hours a day.

My favorite is still the NCIS series. Hubby says he will get me the NCIS DVD collection once our DVD player is working again.

But when?

I think hubby has to really send the DVD player for repair.

You see, it stops and restarts playing, with almost every DVD. I have used a DVD cleaner, but to no avail.

Hubby says he wants to try his luck. Just wait until he is back from his work and he will spend some time cleaning or doing a body check for the DVD player.

I managed to scan through a survey in another tab while waiting for a Liporexall website to load.

According to the survey, consumers would still rather pop a disc into a DVD player than download or watch a video online.

Well, I advocate both ways of watching movies. What about you?

Although discs are still and by far the dominant way Americans enjoy home video, there is an increasing appetite for online viewing.

Unbelievable! Just as I thought I had to get a new DVD player after I washed my breeches, hubby managed to fix it.

I didn’t believe it was really working, so I unplugged it and then plugged it again.

Well, the film showed well from the start to the end. The DVD player didn’t even suffer any screeches when it turned off at a critical moment of the film.

Tonight I am going to test it again with another movie.

It’s a cheap DVD player, but it still works.

I still remember the days before installing HDMI. I had to hook up three separate connectors for just the video and two additional RCA plugs for stereo sound. Instead of the two RCA plugs, you I could also use an S/PDIF optical cable for the sound but it still added a lot of cable complexity and clutter compared to a single HDMI cable.

It’s different now. With a single HDMI cable now I plug my DVD player, my PlayStation 3, my satellite or cable TV box, or even my computer up to a modern HDTV. The sound and picture work well. The HDMI plug only has a single small connector so it’s nice and simple.

Always shop extensively if you want cheap HDMI switches or cables for your DVD player, PlayStation 3, satellite or cable TV box, or even your computer up to a modern HDTV.

I really don’t understand the negative reviews for this High School Musical 2 (Extended Edition) as I found it to be really great. As usual, one wonders if they saw the same film. This movie was made to appeal to pre-teen and teen viewers and it’s been a hit with them this summer.

I’m not a teen, but I’ve always loved cheap DVDs on teen movies and I found it terrific. I’ve had lots of kids say positive things to me about this movie and so I know it was well received. I’m just so glad that musicals are popular again as I’ve always liked that genre.

Music has a way of touching people in ways that a regular film just can’t. Yes, this film High School Musical 2 has been marketed, but I have to say that to market successfully you have to have a good product (which this is).

Ok, we all knew that the movie producers would have a really hard time matching the success of the first movie which was a real classic. This High School Musical 2 movie came so close to being even better than the first. I think what did this was the outstanding music, vocal performances of Zac & Vanessa, and choreography.

Also, the “romantic quotient” is quite high and there are plenty of romantic scenes for those of us who like those kind of movies. Zac and Vanessa have a lot of onscreen chemistry & their real love for each other really shines through on film. I can see that there are a few scenes that are going to get ‘stuck’ in my dvd player!
